The magic of art takes over Madrid with the arrival of the Apertura Madrid Gallery Weekend 2024! This annual event, marking the beginning of the exhibition season in the city, returns on the second Thursday of September to delight everyone with an explosion of creativity and talent. From September 12 to 15, Madrid transforms into a vibrant artistic stage, where 52 galleries of Arte Madrid open their doors to offer a unique journey through free exhibitions throughout the city. It's a celebration of contemporary art at its finest, where visitors can enjoy extended hours and a series of fascinating activities: guided tours of the galleries, visits to Madrid’s most unique art centers, and a public space tour to discover and appreciate artworks that adorn streets, squares, and buildings. The program extends throughout September, until the 28th, offering everyone the chance to immerse themselves in Madrid’s artistic scene, with the Fundación ARCO organizing the ARCO Gallery Walks for an even richer experience. During the Apertura Madrid Gallery Weekend 2024, the 52 Arte Madrid galleries will open their doors with extended hours so you can fully enjoy the art. On Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th, explore the exhibitions from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. And on Sunday the 15th, the galleries will be open from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
